focusは名詞で「焦点」「ピント」の意味として用いられる。動詞では「焦点を合わせる」「集中させる」という意味で用いられる。「集中させる」という意味ではconcentrateと似ているが、focusは何かひとつへピントを合わせるために集中する、という意味でconcentrateはあちこちにあるものを中心に集める、というニュアンスである。
